31 Series
31 Series Steel Construction Modular Shelving is a contemporary alternative to traditional wooden bookcases. 31 Series offers a clean "see through" look, the beauty and versatility of wood end panels and exceptional strength and rigidity. The powder coated steel frames are 1" square tubing. A deep front return bend and an upturned book-stop bend in the rear give the steel shelves exceptional rigidity. Available with oak or maple veneer, high-pressure laminate or melamine panels.
31 Series Modular Shelving with wood veneer surfaces is also available with Designer Line end panels. Use the model number prefix that corresponds with your choice of Designer Lines Panels: 32 - Malibu, 33 - Metro, 36 - Twist, 37 - Lexington, 38 - Charleston and 39 - Heritage. Intermediate panels are undetailed 31-Bookmark panels.

Wood Veneer Surfaces (31-)
- Frame is 1" square 18-gauge steel tubing. Bolts to end and intermediate panels.
- End and intermediate panels are veneer core; veneer faces; wood banding.
- Top is veneer core; veneer face; wood banding.
- Locking cam fasteners lock the top and sides into place.
- Adjustable shelves are 18-gauge steel with 1-1/4" deep triple bent edge and a 1-1/4" tall book-stop lip.
- Toe plates are veneer core; veneer face; attached to panels using 14-gauge steel brackets.
- Powder coated steel shelves are an opportunity to add an accent color to your bookcases. See our Powder Coat finish options.

High-Pressure Laminate Surfaces (H31-)

*leveling glides are optional. We pre-dill hole locations in all end and intermediate panels to accept leveling glides as a standard manufacturing procedure. If leveling glides are required, you must order the glides separately.
