• Frame: Chair frame is solid oak. All joints are double doweled and critical joints are additionally reinforced with countersunk bolts and steel cross dowels. Chairs are also reinforced with solid wood corner blocks under the seat. An oak stretcher spans between each front and rear leg pair and two oak stretchers span between the front-to-rear stretchers. • Post Leg: Rear legs are steam bent and extend from floor to top of back.
• Sled Base: Legs are sled base style with a lower rail abutting the rear legs and under the front legs. Rear legs are steam bent and extend from floor to top of back.
• Two-Position Base: Legs are sled base style with a center rail abutting the base of the legs. Frame is to be shaped to allow chair to sit in standard sitting position and a tilted back position.
• Chair back: All-wood back is composed of two gently curved pieces, the upper of which is arched. Upholstered back is a single curved piece arched across the top.
• Seat: All-wood seat is saddled. Upholstered seat uses a hardwood frame with a spring suspended support mesh and high density foam cushion.
